Castaic, CA : Pickup driver killed in fiery crash on 5 Freeway in Castaic on Wednesday, 14th August 2019

The driver of a pickup truck died Wednesday morning after ramming into the rear of a tractor-trailer, then exploding into flames on the 5 Freeway in Castaic, authorities said.

The early hours crash forced the closure of all northbound lanes on the freeway for much of the morning, causing severe traffic congestion for commuters.
