West Milford, N.J : Three people injured in a three-vehicle accident in the vicinity of Dockerty Hollow Road on Friday morning, August 26, 2016

The Police Department is investigating a three-vehicle accident that occurred at 6:19 Friday morning and sent all the drivers involved to area hospitals and caused a Jeep to overturn and catch fire, said Lt. Stephen Singerline in a press release.

Police had no information Friday afternoon on the extent of injuries resulting from the crash at Macopin Road in the vicinity of Dockerty Hollow Road.

According to Singerline, the investigation revealed that Arthur A. Ybarra, 40, of Gonzales, Texas was traveling southbound on Macopin Road in a 2003 Ford F350 pickup.

Meanwhile, Jeffrey Carmona, 32, of Woodbridge, was heading north on Macopin Road while driving a 2009 Ford 150 van. Police allege that Carmona crossed the center line for reasons unknown, sideswiped Ybarra's pickup, and crashed head-on into a 2008 Jeep driven by Rock Filipowicz, 44, of Hewitt, in the southbound lane.

When the Jeep overturned and caught on fire, Good Samaritans removed Filipowicz to safety, and he was ultimately transported to Morristown Memorial Hospital, said Singerline.

Following the sideswipe, Singerline said, Ybarra continued southbound, ran off the road to the right, struck a retaining wall, and his vehicle overturned.

All the drivers were transported by ambulance - Ybarra to St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson, and Carmona to Chilton Medical Center in Pequannock.
