Monessen, PA : A multi-vehicle crash on Route 28 on Tuesday, October, 31st 2017

A multi-vehicle crash on Route 28 southbound near exit 10 (RIDC Park) snarled traffic for miles Tuesday morning.

There were four vehicles involved in the crash, which occurred shortly after 6 a.m., Tribune-Review news partner WPXI-TV reported.

A near-standstill traffic jam went back about 3 miles, past the Harmar Exit.

First responders cleared the scene and traffic began to flow gain at about 7:40 a.m., according to state police.

It was not immediately known whether there were injuries.
