Two are dead after a pick-up truck and car collided on southbound U.S. 23 in front of the Michigan Avenue overpass.Two additional patients required emergency transport, according to a statement from Fire Chief Sean Gleason. One was in critical condition, another in serious condition.
Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to remove the driver's side door of the pick-up truck, according to Gleason.
The freeway was shut down for several hours on Thursday evening, an alert issued by the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department at 4:30 p.m. advised motorists to avoide the area.
