Arlington, TX : 7-month-old boy in stroller killed in Arlington crash on Thursday morning, May 29, 2014

An infant being pushed in a stroller was killed and his father injured when a car struck the two in Arlington on Thursday morning.

According to witnesses, father Daniel Bingenheimer had just left an area convenience store and was pushing his son David in a stroller, at the intersection of California and Cooper.

Witnesses say a car ran a red light and hit the back of a pickup. According to police the truck, which was headed southbound on Cooper, went off the road and struck the father and seven-and-a-half month old boy. The stroller the child was in shattered into pieces.

“The dad was just screaming and the drivers were screaming,” says Alicia Hopkin, who witnessed the crash. “[The father] picked the baby up out of the road and brought it over, and somebody helped him lay him on the median. They were all just screaming.”
