Eatonville, FL : Car crashes into tree, pole at Eatonville church on Sunday, January 17, 2016

A car crashed into a pole and tree late Sunday outside an Eatonville church, police said.

The wreck happened at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church on Kennedy Boulevard.

The car stopped within inches of the church building after hitting the tree and pole, according to officials.

Eatonville police said officers noticed the crash while on patrol. The car was abandoned, and the driver has not been found.

Police are searching for the owner of the vehicle.
