Fort Myers,FL : Lehigh Acres man dies from injuries in one-vehicle crash along Williams Avenue on January, Monday 15th 2018

A Lehigh Acres man was killed Monday night in a single-vehicle crash along Williams Avenue.

The Florida Highway Patrol said James Beasley, 69, was driving his 2009 Chevy HHR SUV north on Williams approaching West 18th St.

After passing West 18th, Beasley drove the SUV off the road, went airborne over a canal and landed at 1808 Acacia Ave. He was taken to Lehigh Regional Hospital and was pronounced dead from his injuries.

Beasley's death is the third traffic fatality in Lee County this year.
