Bend, OR : Woman killed after crash in Madras on Tuesday night, March 28, 2017

A 26-year-old woman was killed Tuesday night after she crashed her vehicle off the Loucks Road in Madras.

Melissa C. Wallace, of Madras, was traveling westbound on Loucks Road at about 8:42 p.m. when she lost control of her vehicle and veered off the road, according to Madras Police. The vehicle crashed on Loucks Road near Lakeside Road.

Wallace was pronounced dead at the scene. No passengers were in the vehicle.

Police believed alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Oregon State Police assisted in the investigation.
