Brockton,MA : Brockton woman killed in Avon pedestrian accident on October, Saturday 14th 2017

A Brockton woman was killed when she was hit by a car while crossing Stockwell Drive on Saturday afternoon.

The victim has been identified as 19-year-old Ariel Dineen of Brockton. Her identity was confirmed by Avon Police Chief David Martineau and the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office spokesman David Traub on Saturday afternoon.

The accident occurred at around 1:45 p.m. at 5 Stockwell Drive, near the Party City and Dunkin Donuts stores on the road leading to the IKEA store.

Dineen had begun her first day working at Party City and was crossing the street to spend her lunch break with her friend, a Dunkin Donuts employee, Chief Martineau said.
