WAVERLY, FL : 22-year-old woman dies following crash in Polk County Monday, 1st January 2024

A 22-year-old woman died following a crash on U.S. 27 on New Year's Eve in Polk County, authorities said.

Sheriff's office deputies and Polk County Fire Rescue personnel responded around 9:50 p.m. Sunday to the crash on the highway north of Peace Creek RV Park Road.

Serrina Bielss, who lived in Winter Haven, was identified as the lone driver in the crash. She was taken to an area hospital but died from her injuries, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
