CANTON, MO : Iowa woman has minor injuries in crash on U.S. 61 about 3 miles south of Canton on Monday, 20th August 2018

An Iowa driver escaped serious injury when she struck a guardrail on Monday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that Casey L. Miller, 22, of Marion, Iowa, was driving south on U.S. 61 about 3 miles south of Canton at 12:50 p.m. Monday. The 2005 Honda Accord driven by Miller went off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail. The car was totalled, but Miller was wearing a seat belt and suffered only minor injuries.

She was taken by Lewis County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill. The southbound lanes of the highway were closed during the immediate response.
