A man is recovering after a serious all-terrain vehicle rollover Sunday, authorities said.
The accident happened around 10:40 a.m. on a gravel logging road in Millsfield, New Hampshire Fish and Game authorities said.
Rafael Bottene, 34, of West Yarmouth, Massachusetts, was hurt when he lost control of his ATV while going down a hill near the Dixville town line and was thrown from the vehicle.
A passerby with medical training provided first aid until Errol fire and rescue crews arrived.
Bottene was transported by ambulance to a landing zone at Errol Airport where he was then airlifted by helicopter to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.
He suffered serious injuries but authorities report he was in stable condition as of Sunday evening.
Investigators believe speed contributed to the crash.
