Stuart,FL : Jupiter man sentenced to 29 years in prison for double fatal crash on I-95 near Palm City on October, Thursday 19th 2017

A Jupiter resident was sentenced Thursday in Martin County Circuit Court to 29 years in prison after he pleaded no contest to DUI manslaughter in the September 2015 deaths of two sisters in a head-on crash on Interstate 95 near Palm City.

Admerson Cleber Eugenio Vicente-Vicente, 26, a native of Guatemala who is listed in county jail records as a self-employed painter, faced a maximum sentence of 30 years: 15 years each in the deaths of Brittany Musumeci, 23, and her sister, Air Force Staff Sgt. Alexis Musumeci, 24.

Vicente-Vicente was driving a 2006 Jeep Cherokee at 67 mph after 9 p.m. when it struck the 2007 Toyota Matrix Brittany Musumeci was driving at 58 mph, starting a fire.

Passersby pulled Vicente-Vicente from the Jeep but could not get to the sisters.

The sisters had been staying with their mother in Pompano Beach and were returning there, passing through Martin County southbound on I-95. They had been at Universal Studios near Orlando celebrating the younger sister's graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
