Camas , WA : One Women was killed and toddler was hurt after hit by car while pushing Stroller on Tuesday , December 23rd 2014

A car hit and killed a woman Tuesday as she was pushing her great-grandson across the street in a stroller, according to the Camas Police Department.

Police said Anneice Fich, 66, of Washougal was crossing Northeast 3rd Avenue near Northeast Weir Street just before 5 p.m. when she was hit by a car. The intersection doesn't have a signal or marked crosswalk, officials said.

Bystanders rushed to help Fich, however arriving paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.

The child, her 2-year-old great-grandson Eduardo, was taken to the hospital for an evaluation.

Doctors found he had broken ribs, a punctured lung, and a fractured leg. He was transferred to Legacy Emanuel overnight, where hospital officials say he is listed as "in good condition".

The driver, Thetford Moore, 60, of Washougal, was not injured and is cooperating with investigators, police said. Witnesses could tell the SUV’s driver was shaken after the crash.

“He had stopped, got out and checked on her,” said witness Austin Beaudoin, “He was pretty scared, I could tell.”

Police closed Northeast 3rd Avenue to investigate the crash. Officers determined that impairment wasn't a factor.
