Duluth,MN : Wrong way driver causes two separate crashes in Duluth on may, Friday 2nd 2017

The Minnesota State Patrol says a wrong way driver in the Duluth area caused two separate crashes on Friday, one of them fatal.

The first crash happened near the 27th Avenue West exit on northbound I-35 in Duluth.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. Friday.

The State Patrol says at least one person was injured in the crash.

We don't know how many people were hurt or the extent of their injuries.

Traffic was rerouted for a short time while authorities investigated.

The second crash happened around 6 p.m. Friday in the Duluthbound side of the Bong Bridge.

The State Patrol says the second crash was fatal.

We don't know whether more than one person died in this crash or whether any others were injured.

The crash involved at least three cars.
