Statesville, NC : One hurt in three-vehicle crash in Troutman on Wednesday, January, 10th 2018

One person was injured in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday on Perth Road in Troutman.
Anthony Foster, 61, of Mooresville, was transported to Lake Norman Regional Medical Center with minor injuries after the crash, which happened just before 11 a.m., according to North Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper B.M. Campbell.
Campbell said a van was attempting to pass both a tractor trailer and another vehicle when it entered the northbound lane of Foster's Kia crossover.
"There was nowhere for either of them to go and they just hit head-on," Campbell said.
The Kia then struck the side of the tractor trailer.
The driver of the van, Jeffery Kellar, 54, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, was charged with reckless driving and driving left of center.
No other injuries were reported.
