Salisbury,PA : Man seriously injured in I-78 crash dies, passenger critical on September, Friday 22th 2017

Authorities say one of two people seriously injured when their car crashed into a tractor trailer on Interstate 78 has died.

The Lehigh County coroner tells WFMZ-TV (http://bit.ly/2fg1WCB ) that 25-year-old Christopher Williams, of Colmar, died at a hospital shortly after 3:30 p.m. Friday. Williams’ passenger, 22-year-old Edmund Thomas, of Churchville, is in critical condition at a hospital.

Pennsylvania State Police say Williams’ car struck the rear of a tractor trailer that had broken down along the eastbound shoulder of I-78 in Greenwich Township just before 6 p.m. Wednesday. The driver of the tractor trailer wasn’t injured.
