Town of Dell Prairie, WI : Woman killed after sliding off snowy road and crashed into a tree on Highway 14 north of Golden Avenue in the town of Dell Prairie on Sunday, November 16, 2014

An Adams County driver was killed early Sunday when she lost control of her vehicle on a snow-covered highway and struck a tree. Wendy Lunny, 45, Adams, was critically injured in the crash and was pronounced dead at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo, the Adams County Sheriff's Office said in a news release. The crash was reported at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday on Highway 13 near Golden Avenue in the town of Dell Prairie, a couple of miles north of Wisconsin Dells. Lunny was northbound on Highway 13 when her vehicle left the highway and hit the tree. She was alone in the vehicle. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, the sheriff's office said. Assisting at the scene were the Kilbourn Fire Department, the Wisconsin Dells Police Department and the Dells-Delton Ambulance Service. Source : Adams County driver killed in crash on slick highway
