A man and a woman died in a three-car crash on Lincoln Drive on Sunday afternoon, Philadelphia police said.
The accident took place before 2 p.m. when a speeding Volvo, driven by a 23-year-old man, jumped a median strip near Gypsy Lane, according to police. The Volvo was struck by an Infiniti, which pushed the Volvo back over the median. A 55-year-old woman driving a Kia then struck the Volvo. Police did not release the names of the drivers Sunday.
The driver of the Volvo was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman driving the Kia was taken to Einstein Medical Center in critical condition, where she later died.
The third driver was not injured.
