A fiery crash south of Nashville, Tennessee has left a St. Thomas woman dead and four others injured.
Michelle Sampson, a 35-year-old mother of two, was driving a Jeep northbound on I-65 in Spring Hill when it and a Nissan crossed the median into oncoming traffic about 4:15 p.m., according to a report by the Tennessean newspaper.
It remains unclear as to why the cars crossed the median.
According to the Tennessean, Sampson’s car hit a cargo truck head-on and then caught fire. The Nissan hit another car. The Tennessean reported that there are criminal charges pending.
For Michelle with Love, the Facebook page dedicated to Sampson’s memory, is overflowing with pictures of a woman who was deeply loved by her family, her friends and co-workers.
One post describes her as “a mentor, a friend and just an overall great, happy and kind person!”
An education fund is being set up for Sampson’s children, according to the Facebook page.
