New Haven, VT : Woman injured in two-car crash in Ferrisburgh on Sunday morning, December 25, 2016

Vermont State Police are investigating a two-car accident on Route 7 on Christmas morning.

Shortly after 10:30 a.m., police were called to Ferrisburgh near Old Hollow Road.

According to a news release, Heather Workman, 28, of Cornwall, was operating a 2003 Saturn Ion, traveling westbound. Workman, who was attempting to pass through the intersection of Old Hollow Road struck a second vehicle, a 2005 Ford F-150, driven by Joel Royer, 63, of Millerton, Pennsylvania. Rover was driving east.

Workman reportedly had several broken bones and was taken to University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington. Her car was totaled. Royer and another passenger were treated and released on scene.

The Vermont State Police were assisted on scene by the Ferrisburgh Fire Department and Vergennes Rescue.
The investigation is ongoing.
