Princeton, W.V : Two injured in Route 460 wreck on Wednesday, August 17, 2016

Two people were transported to a local hospital Wednesday after a collision left a pickup truck overturned on Willowbrook Road near Princeton.

Mercer County 911 was alerted 1:56 p.m. about a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. Route 460 and Willowbrook Road. Traffic was halted when first responders arrived on the scene.

The crash occurred when a pickup truck attempted to turn left off of the westbound lanes of Route 460 to Willowbrook Road, according to Senior Trooper D.C. Graham of the West Virginia State Police Princeton detachment. The pickup was then hit by an SUV traveling east on Route 460.

The pickup truck came to rest overturned at the entrance to Willowbrook Road. A woman driving the SUV and the truck’s male driver were transported with non-lifethreatening injuries to Princeton Community Hospital, Graham said at the scene. Sgt. D.W. Miller, the case’s primary investigator, was unavailable for additional comment Wednesday.

Units of the Green Valley-Glenwood Volunteer Fire Department and the Princeton Rescue Squad were also dispatched to the crash scene.
