Allentown, PA : Cumberland County man killed in crash on Route 114 in Silver Spring Township early Friday, August 5, 2016

A Mechanicsburg man died after a pickup truck heading in the wrong direction crashed into the car he was in along Route 114 (Wertzville Road) in Silver Spring Township early Friday.

Rodney Morton was a passenger in a Saturn Ion when a Dodge Dakota pickup truck driven by Brenda Aumiller of Lewistown crashed head-on into the car between Technology Drive and Old Willow Mill Road. Morton suffered severe head trauma and died en route to the hospital.

The driver of the Saturn, Roberto Cheodetti, was not injured in the accident.

Aumiller suffered a wrist injury.

Route 114 was closed near the accident until 4:30 a.m.

An investigation continues.
