Emanuel County, GA : Two killed on Highway 80 in Emanuel County crash on Monday, 19th August 2019

Two men were killed Monday morning in a crash just outside of Twin City on Highway 80 in Emanuel County.

According to Georgia State Patrol Post 19 preliminary reports, James C. Skinner, 29, of Statesboro, was traveling west on Hwy. 80 near Beaver Creek Campground just after 6 a.m. when his car crossed the center line.

Joe C. Walker, 29, of Wadley, was approaching, traveling east, when his vehicle and Skinner’s collided “headlight to headlight,” according to a GSP Post 19 spokesperson.

Skinner was pronounced dead at the scene, while Walker was transported to an Augusta hospital, where he died around 10 a.m., reports stated.

The crash remains under investigation and reports had not been finalized Tuesday.
