WATAUGA COUNTY, N.C : Troopers: 1 killed when car collides with 4 motorcycles on May 20th 2014

North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating after one person died and others were injured Tuesday night in a wreck.

Officials said a driver went left of center on U.S. 321 North in Cove Creek and collided head-on with four motorcycles.

Alfredo Madrid of Miami, Fla. was killed. Two other riders were treated and released from a Watauga hospital.

A fourth was airlifted to Johnson City.

Jennifer Willis, 35, was driving a red Audi when she went left of center in a curve, troopers said.

Willis was charged with DWI, though officials said they are not sure if alcohol was a factor. She is being held on a $500,000 bond.
