Four people suffered nonlife-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle accident on 11th Street on evening.

According to the incident report, a Coldspring woman was traveling east on 11th Street near the intersection of Normal Park Drive in a 2013 silver Ford Fusion shortly before 7 p.m. She failed to stop at the red light and her vehicle collided with a 2012 white Dodge pickup truck that was attempting to turn onto 11th Street from Normal Park.

The driver of the truck, a Huntsville man, and a female passenger were transported to Huntsville Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries, police say.

The driver of the Fusion and a passenger in the vehicle were also taken by ambulance to HMH.

“The driver of the Fusion said she woke up and saw the light was red and could not stop in time,” Lt. Jim Barnes with the Huntsville Police Department said. “She said she blacked out and didn’t know what happened until it was too late.”

The Coldspring woman was issued a citation for running a red light.
