HILLSBORO, TX : 1 killed in Hill County I-35 crash on Wednesday, 9th January 2019

The Department of Public Safety reports one man was killed when he lost control of his SUV on I-35 north of Hillsboro Wednesday morning.

DPS spokesman Ryan Howard says about 3:00 a.m. a Nissan SUV driven by 35-year-old Jake Thacker of Grand Prairie was southbound on I-35 W near FM 2959 north of Hillsboro when it drifted off the left side of the road.

DPS troopers said it appeared he attempted to take corrective action, lost control and the SUV overturned.

The victim was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
