ROSEVILLE, IL : Roseville teen charged with DUI in crash on April, Thursday 20th 2017

A Roseville teen was charged with driving under the influence after a Thursday morning crash.

An Illinois State Police report said Casimir Stodolkiewicz, 19, was driving northbound on U.S. 67 at about 8:26 a.m. Thursday.

He reportedly rear-ended a car driven by Heather M. Newsad, 50, Macomb, at 30th Avenue, which caused Newsad to enter the east ditch and come to rest upright.

The report said Stodolkiewicz continued northbound on U.S. 67, hit a concrete barrier and then a guardrail before also going into the east ditch upright.

Both were transported from the crash to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The ISP report said Stodolkiewicz was charged with DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident involving injury, illegal possession of alcohol by a minor and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash along with the Roseville Fire Department and Roseville Ambulance Service.
