New Castle,PA : Man injured in motorcycle wreck on April, wednesday 26th 2017

A man was flown to an area hospital after a motorcycle wreck about 3:50 p.m. Wednesday on Union Valley Road, Shenango Township.

Police did not release the man’s name or the hospital where he was taken.

They said a passerby reported that a motorcyclist had gone off the south edge of the road. Scanner reports indicated that it took several minutes for those searching to find the victim.

Police said he was located in a grassy area about six feet from the pavement. According to unconfirmed scanner reports, the man was unconscious when he was found.

The road was temporarily closed from Old Pittsburgh Road about a quarter mile into Union Valley Road as emergency workers removed the man and the wreckage. Shenango police and fire and Noga ambulance personnel were at the scene.
