Jersey City, NJ : One person died in a Gloucester County crash on Friday, December, 22nd 2017

One person died in a Gloucester County crash Friday afternoon, according to police.

A single vehicle crashed on Route 55 in Harrison Township around 5 p.m., fatally injuring the driver, Sgt. Lawrence Peele, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police, confirmed Saturday.

The crash remains under investigation, Peele said. Police are withholding details about the driver's identity pending notification of family members.
