BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC : Woman arrested after collision with police car in Brunswick Co on Thursday, 25th August, 2016

Boiling Spring Lakes Police arrested a woman following a hit-and-run crash on HWY 74 in Leland Thursday around 4:30 p.m.
According to Chief of Police Brad Shirley with the Boiling Spring Lakes Police Department, Jennifer Lee Smith fled down NC 133 after the hit-and-run. She was located by the BSLPD, who initiated a traffic stop, but Smith attempted to flee.
A short time later, Smith lost control of her vehicle and collided with a Boiling Spring Lakes police car.
No one was injured in the collision. Smith was taken into custody
