Vinita, OK : One dead after a crash on will Rogers Turnpike on Saturday night, December 17, 2016

One person is dead after a vehicle accident in Rogers County Saturday night.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 55-year-old Curtis Lee Cockrell of Jenks was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cockrell's was not in his vehicle when the accident occurred but was standing outside of his car because of a previous accident.

OHP said the accident involved a Ford F150 Pickup and an Oklahoma Turnpike Authority Sand Truck.
