West Jefferson County, CO : 56-year-old man killed in school bus crash on Monday, 5th April 2021

A section of U.S. 90 in west Jefferson County was closed for several hours Monday morning after a fatal car crash involving a school bus.

All 11 students on the bus were checked by Emergency Medical Services before being released to another bus to be taken to campus. The bus driver was taken to the hospital with “minor injuries.”

But 56-year-old David Eugene Strickler, of Biloxi, Mississippi, was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Brad Burnett.
