Orleans, MA : Sandwich Police investigating car crash on Monday, January 30th 2017

The Sandwich Police Department is investigating a motor vehicle crash into a pond located at the intersection of Open Space Drive and Reflection Drive in the Ridge Club. In the early morning hours of Monday morning police officials learned the operator, a 25 year old female from Sandwich, had left the scene and was picked up by family members. The operator was suffering from hypothermia and was transported to the hospital by the Sandwich Fire Department. No other passengers are believed to have been in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Sandwich Fire and salvage teams are currently in the process of recovering the vehicle.
