Two people hurt in a fiery crash on the North Side near Hollywood and Sheridan

A fiery crash on the North Side near Hollywood and Sheridan early Sunday left two people hurt.

Police say the fire happened around 4:30 am Sunday morning in the city's Edgewater neighborhood.

Witnesses say a man driving a van on Sheridan Road either lost control or was traveling at a high rate of speed before it rolled over, hit another vehical and hit a guard rail before bursting into flames.

Witnesses, reportedly in pajamas, were able to pull the man from the crash.
The crash sent a 36-year-old man and a 43-year-old man to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, according to Fire Media. Both were listed in fair to serious condition.

Police could not immediately provide information on the crash.
