Norman, OK : Two dead after Highway 9 collision on Tuesday, January, 9th 2018

According to Norman Public Safety Information Officer Sarah Jensen, two people who were involved in a injury collision earlier today have died.

Jensen said preliminary information reveals that at about 12:30 p.m., a vehicle traveling eastbound on State Highway 9 crossed left of center colliding head-on with another vehicle traveling westbound. The drivers of the vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene.

She said the highway remains narrowed to one lane in both directions. The collision is under investigation by the NPD/OUPD Collision Investigation Reconstruction Team (CIRT).
