Rapid City, SD : Motorcycle driver killed in collision with sports utility vehicle at Rapid City intersection on Friday, January 1, 2016

A man was killed when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a sports utility vehicle at a Rapid City intersection.

Authorities identified the victim as 45-year-old Bryan Rick, of Hill City. The accident happened just before 3 p.m. Friday.

The Highway Patrol says the SUV driver was southbound on state Highway 44. He had stopped at a stop sign before colliding with the Rick on the eastbound motorcycle.

Rick was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet.
