Sarasota, FL : Cyclist killed in crash on Sunday, October 12, 2014

The Florida Highway Patrol identified the bicyclist killed Sunday as Martin Deleon Perez. Perez, 26, was struck by a careening vehicle as he rode on the sidewalk. He was the third bicyclist killed by a car this year in Sarasota and Manatee counties. Perez was riding just west of the intersection of 17th Street and Prudence Drive near the Bobby Jones Golf Course when he was struck at around noon Sunday. He was flown to Tampa General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Source : Cyclist killed in crash is identified
