Northwood, OH : Man, 18, killed in Route 4 crash in Northwood on Monday, 24th September 2018

Police in Northwood say an 18-year-old man was killed in a crash on Route 4 on Tuesday morning.

Police responded to the crash about 4:35 a.m. in the area of Green Street. One car was involved, and police say it hit a utility pole and then a tree, where it came to a rest.

The 18-year-old victim was the only person in the car, police said. He was found outside of the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Route 4 was closed to a single lane for about seven hours while officers investigated the crash and utility workers replaced the pole.
