WEST JEFFERSON, OH : Police officer injured in wrong-way crash on US Route 40 in Madison County on Sunday, 28th January 2024

A police officer was injured when his vehicle was struck by a wrong-way driver in Madison County late Sunday night.

The crash happened around 11 p.m. on U.S. Route 40 near Inwood Road in West Jefferson, according to the West Jefferson Police Department.

Police said the officer was driving his cruiser west on U.S. 40 when another driver was heading east on the road in the westbound lanes and struck the cruiser.
