Silver Spring, MD: One man injured and 21-year-old police man died after vehicle losing control and hitting a utility pole on Saturday,15th November 2014

Montgomery County Police say a driver who crashed his car while fleeing from a police officer in Silver Spring has died. Officers say 21-year-old Annal Upadhyaya of Gaithersburg died Sunday, a day after the crash. Police say about 9 p.m. on Saturday, an officer came across a car parked in a fire lane in front of a liquor store. When Upadhyaya, returned to the car, the officer determined that he was driving with a suspended license and called a tow truck. When the tow truck arrived, Upadhyaya jumped in the car and sped away. Police say the officer lost sight of Upadhyaya but soon after discovered his car damaged and on its side.
