CAMPBELL COUNTY, VA : One dead after Saturday night crash in Campbell County on Saturday, 23rd January 2021

A 22-year-old man has been charged after police said he sideswiped a car, causing a deadly crash.

At 8:40 p.m. on Saturday, a 2010 Toyota Camry going south on Route 29 was sideswiped by a 2020 Kia Sorento, according to State Police. Police said the Camry then ran off the side of the road, hit a ditch and overturned several times before resting in the northbound lanes.

According to police, the Kia stopped for a moment and then kept going south on Route 29. Authorities said they found the Kia several hours later.

Authorities said the driver of the Camry, 23-year-old Lorenzo Pryor, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car. He died at the scene, according to police. Police said the three other passengers were hospitalized for minor injuries.
