A 78-year-old woman is dead after police say she was hit by a vehicle in downtown Philadelphia.
The crash happened at a Center City intersection just before 2:30 p.m. on Monday. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead around 3 p.m.
The vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene. Police say the driver wasn’t arrested.
Authorities didn’t immediately identify the victim.
The wreck remains under investigation.
