Crockery Township, MI : Three people were injured in a two-car crash at the intersection of 144th Avenue and Hickory Street in Crockery Township on Monday, 31st December 2018

Three people were injured in a two-car crash late Monday afternoon at the intersection of 144th Avenue and Hickory Street in Crockery Township.Police said their injuries were non-life-threatening.

The crash occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m

According to police, Jacob Wright, 21, of Fruitport, was eastbound on Hickory Street in a gray Acura Integra when he ran the stop sign and was struck by a blue Ford Edge driven by Spring Lake resident Brenda Alpers, 57.

It was raining hard at the time.

Alpers was northbound on 144th Avenue at the time of the crash. She was transported to a local hospital by North Ottawa Community Hospital paramedics.

Robert Dreese, 60, of Spring Lake, was a passenger in Alpers’ vehicle.

Wright was ticketed for failure to stop, according to police.
