St. Louis, MO : One person dead and two others injured after a van collided with a Metro bus in Lemay on Tuesday morning, August 2, 2016

Police said Wednesday that Derek Breckelmann, 27, was the man killed when a minivan collided with Metro bus here Tuesday morning.

Breckelmann, of the 100 block of Mann Street in Lemay, was a passenger in the van. Police said he was thrown out and run over by the bus.

It happened at about 10:45 a.m. in the 8500 block of Alabama Avenue, near the intersection of River City Boulevard.

Police said the bus, driven south on Alabama by a woman, 58, struck the right side of the van. No other serious injuries were reported, but two other occupants of the van, a man, 67, and a woman, 64, were taken to a hospital, officials said.
