ANDOVER, MA : 6-year-old hit and killed by tractor-trailer in Andover on Tuesday, 9th May 2023

A five-year-old was hit and killed by a tractor-trailer near the intersection of Elm and Main streets in Andover on Tuesday afternoon.

The truck driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.

State Police say the child was with a group at the time of the incident. Other people who were not hit by the truck were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

"I just heard some yelling and screaming," a man said. "She was frantic. I can't even imagine what she was going through, how she was feeling."
