Elyria, OH : 2 elderly women injured in crash at State Route 57 and Abbe Road on June 11, 2014

A car and a semi-tractor trailer have been involved in an accident at state Route 57 and Abbe Road.

WKYC has learned that two elderly women were injured and taken to the hospital, one by a medical helicopter.

Elyria police have not responded to our call for information.

A WKYC news crew is on the scene. The crew reports that the truck was southbound on RT 57 and the women were turning off Abbe to go south on Rt 57 and drove into the path of the truck.
