Knoxville man dies of injuries from motorcycle crash in Tennessee

A 32-year-old Knoxville man who crashed a motorcycle along Interstate 140 has died of his injuries.David Aimes died at the University of Tennessee from injuries sustained in the 11:13 a.m. Oct. 14 crash.Aimes was driving a 1989 Honda west on I-140 near mile marker 5 when he failed to negotiate a curve, according to the Knoxville Police Department.“The motorcycle went into the gravel and grass median and then flipped, ejecting the operator,” said Police Department spokesman Darrell DeBusk.Aimes was wearing a helmet at the time.Police were unsure why Aimes failed to round the curve safely.More details as they develop online and in Thursday’s News Sentinel.
