Valley Springs, CA : Vehicle collision on Highway 12 near Central Hill Road on Thursday August 25, 2016

The California Highway Patrol reported that two Valley Springs residents were involved in an accident Thursday on Highway 12.

Vehicles driven by Ana Bobrycki, 17, and William Bray, 94, collided at approximately 12:05 p.m. on Highway 12 near Central Hill Road. Bray sustained minor injuries. The CHP did not release information on Bobrycki’s condition.

Bobrycki was driving her Toyota west on Highway 12 at approximately 55 mph when she drove her vehicle off the road and onto the north dirt shoulder during a sweeping right curve. Bobrycki attempted to turn back onto the roadway and lost control. Her car began spinning as she traveled into the eastbound lane and collided with Bray as he traveled east. Bray attempted to avoid the collision by turning to the right and the right rear of Bobrycki’s vehicle collided with the left front of Bray’s Ford. Bray’s vehicle was driven onto the south shoulder and Bobrycki traveled back across the lanes, coming to a rest on the north embankment, according to the CHP.
