Washington, MD : Gonzaga College High School Senior Killed in 2-Car Beltway Crash on Saturday morning, November 1, 2014

Police have identified a teen who was killed in a car crash on the Capital Beltway this weekend in Montgomery County. Maryland State Police say 17-year-old Dominik Pettey of Potomac, Maryland, was killed in an early morning crash Saturday. Pettey, who went by “Dom,” was a student at Gonzaga College High School in Washington. Police say Pettey was one of five people inside a disabled vehicle on the shoulder of Interstate-495. That’s when a 24-year-old woman driving a Jeep drifted onto the shoulder and struck the disabled vehicle. Police say the driver of the Jeep appeared to be impaired. An investigation is ongoing.
